Anyone have a case of the “I’m not doing enoughs?” Thought so!

Here are 10 things to remember when you find yourself anxious about being behind or that you’ll never get to where you want to be. Listen in as I talk in detail about each one and how I’m working on them in my own work and life.

  1. You’ll never totally “arrive,” most likely you’ll always want more and thus, more time
  2. Taking breaks actually can enhance creativity
  3. When we take off the pressure, we are able to be inspired instead of forcing things
  4. Never work so hard that you forget why you’re working
  5. Think about what people say about you – do they say you are a workaholic? Think about eulogies
  6. You can do ANYTHING but not EVERYTHING
  7. The process is often more exciting than the result, so remember to enjoy that part
  8. Stop comparing yourself to others: social media doesn’t stop, someone will always be working every second of the day and it’s impossible to do that as one person
  9. Enjoy right now, because your life is happening right NOW. Not after you accomplish your goal.
  10. If you can learn to enjoy the journey, instead of being irritated and frustrated that everything isn’t finished TODAY, you will: have more people that are behind you (because overnight success isn’t inspiring), be a better version of yourself (it’s no fun when you have no time for anyone), you’ll be more creative (leads to better work)

Pro Tips: Set boundaries, celebrate successes, let yourself have fun in the moment, remember you are lucky to be doing what you want with your time  – if you’re anxious you don’t have enough turn that into gratefulness that you at least have some!
